Proposal Making it Illegal to Smoke with Kids in Car Passes

LAS CRUCES, New Mexico-A proposal to make it illegal to smoke in a car when kids are in the vehicle has passed a house vote in New Mexcio.

The house voted 34-23 on a new bill introduced by Las Cruces lawmakers.
Under the latest version of the bill, a first violation would mean a potential $100 fine.
